This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected and used when you use the Page One mobile application ("the App").
What We Collect
We collect the following data to operate and improve the App:
- Anonymous User ID — A randomly generated identifier (UUID) that is not linked to your personal identity
- Learning Progress — Lessons completed, exercises attempted, streaks, and XP earned
- App Usage and Activity — Screens viewed, features used, time spent in lessons, and activity patterns used to optimize notification timing
- Crash Reports — Error logs and diagnostic information when the App crashes
- Push Notification Token — A device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver push notifications such as streak reminders
- Timezone — Your device timezone, used to schedule notifications at appropriate local times
Optional Sign-In
You may optionally sign in with Apple to enable cloud progress sync. If you do, we receive the information you choose to share through Apple Sign-In, which may include your name and email address. This data is used solely for authentication and syncing your progress across devices.
User Feedback
If you submit feedback through the App, we collect the text you provide along with your anonymous user ID. We use this only to improve the App.
What We Don't Collect
- Location data
- Photos, files, or other personal content
- Payment or financial information
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. Firebase may collect additional technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version. For more information, see the Firebase Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
- Your learning progress is stored locally on your device by default
- If you sign in with Apple, your progress is also synced to our servers so it can be restored on other devices
- Usage analytics and crash reports are stored on Firebase (Google) servers
- Push notification tokens, activity data, and feedback are stored on our servers
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you use the App. If you would like your data deleted from our servers, contact us at the email below and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the optional sign-in feature, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. Your local progress data can also be removed at any time by uninstalling the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
